Shizuo - +Durarara+

Photoshoot: So like my wife says, I have this insane obsession with Durarara. Mostly because of *
EclecticManiac introducing it to me. I've been itching to get a photoshoot in for it since January when I debuted Shizuka- and just could not get around to it til I had a need jerk reaction and messaged John, our photographer, to come to LA Live and shoot myself and my wife.
LA Live was fairly accommodating venue despite all the talk of it being far too professional because he "can't have a reflector" and how Raven wasn't allowed to lie down.
At one point in the shoot I got asked to be in a picture, and the girl in question out of the blue said "It's pretty HOT down here!" And when I said "yea-" she grabbed my butt and full on slapped me. John's assistant Chloe was pretty flabbergasted, and so was I. The only one who walked away in stride was the girl.
I wanted to thank John or Jawn for coming down in such short notice of course, and waiting for us while we got caught up in LA traffic. He was a real pleasure to work with. As well as Chloe- who was just glorious.

Costume: Everything about this costume - I actually made the wrong vest randomly- everything was going well until I noticed I had done so. At that point I had to re-make everything, and *Antiquity-Dreams was more than willing to help me out because I was cutting sleep to get it done. I don't even know how this happened but I was so used to making Kotetsu vests I made a Black Tiger vest on accident. The wig was also styled by me, though I am not particularly fond of it. I'm wearing dickies, the same shoes as Mako, sunglasses I got from the dollar store, and the bow tie and shirt were purchased as well from local thrift stores. The prop/sign was made out of Eva Foam, and a PVC pipe.

The show and why I picked Shizuo. - My inspiration was drawn from his general personality. I loved him from the get-go. I am nothing like him for the most part however. He just struck me as a lovable character. His intentions are pure and I can appreciate his hesitation and really get inside his head on some aspects and relate to his fear of loving others as well.
The series caught my attention because of how intertwined it was, and some of the spoilers really caught me off-guard so I found it very enjoyable. However I dislike greatly how Izaya never gets any character development or redeems himself. I suppose that's the only complaint I could have.
DA is filled with sexy Shizuo's- good lord I cannot even begin to compare.
DRRR!! in Japan, is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda. I credit them of course for the inspiration.
